Better known asStar of Persia, this unforgettable heirloom variety produces enormous, shimmering flower heads made up of dozens of metallic lavender-violet star-shaped florets. Measuring up to 10 inches across, each bloom seems to sparkle in the sunlight like a delicate firework suspended above the garden.
Its beauty doesn’t end when the flowers fade. The seed heads dry beautifully on the stem, creating sculptural interest that lasts well into summer and makes an exceptional dried flower for wreaths and everlasting arrangements.
