Allium ‘Silver Spring’
I am so excited to finally introduce ornamental alliums to our Fall Bulb Collection!
These incredible spring-flowering bulbs add structure, movement, and a touch of magic to the late spring garden. Best of all, they’re hardy perennials that will return year after year, growing more beautiful with each passing season.
Among all the alliums we’ve grown,Silver Spring has quickly become our favourite.
Elegant 24–36” stems are topped with beautiful semi-spherical blooms of soft white, each floret delicately blushed with pink and finished with a striking deep plum-black eye. The effect is both refined and dramatic—an absolute showstopper planted among peonies, bearded iris, cottage perennials, or weaving through a cut flower garden.
One of the things we love most about Silver Spring is its versatility. The unopened buds, with their soft green and ivory colouring, are stunning in bouquets, while the fully opened blooms last exceptionally well as cut flowers. Once flowering has finished, the seed heads can also be dried, bringing lasting beauty indoors for months.
Whether planted in generous drifts or tucked throughout a perennial border, Silver Spring adds height, texture, and a timeless cottage garden feel that returns every spring.

Orders will begin shipping the week ofOctober 14, 2026. Due to the high volume of orders during our Fall Bulb Sale, please allow2–3 weeks for your order to be packed and shipped.
You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email as soon as your shipping label has been created. Please note that once an order has been placed, we are unable to combine or make changes to existing orders.
Due to export restrictions, we are currently able to ship withinCanada only.
Planting Information
Please plant your bulbs and peony roots as soon as they arrive in the fall. Fall planting allows bulbs to experience the winter cold they require to produce beautiful spring blooms.
Detailed planting instructions will be included with your order.
Whistling Prairie Flowers cannot be responsible for bulb or root performance if they are not planted during the fall planting season.

When selecting a Canada Post shipping option at checkout, please note that the quoted shipping timeframe refers only to the time your package spends in transit after it has been shipped. Canada Post delivery estimates donot include our order processing and fulfilment time.
For example, selecting a 2-day shipping service does not mean your order will arrive within two days of purchase. Orders are first carefully processed and packed before being shipped using your selected delivery service.
